Muierii cave
Among the thousands of caves in the Carpathians, few have had a past so rich in events like the Women's Cave Bath Iron. Located in a wild place and with more inputs, one of which offers an excellent observation point on the southern plain, and another opening towards the thick forests of Parâng, Women's Cave was a natural fortress, a point of resistance for residents of neighboring settlements during their tumultuous history.
Monastery Polovragi
Recent historical research has established the monastery Polovragi age around 1505, the Commission and Four founders being Radu Spataru great noble sons Danciu Zamona mentioned in a decree issued on January 18, 1480 by Prince Basarab the Young. In 1629, during the reign of Alexandru Ilies, monastery take possession jupan Paraianu Milescu, ban of Craiova. For a century and a half, documents do not mention anything about the monastery.
