Review: The most ugly experience I had at Cionca Pension. I went there with a group of about 30 people to support a training. I asked for 4 nights accommodation, meal, catering for coffee breaks and 2 classrooms. The guesthouse actually has one large hall, which can be considered as the classroom with great indulgence - the light in that room is very, very weak. The other "hall" is an improvisation that looks more like a kitchen. Those from there have forced us by contract to pay the whole sum before the people stay. Although I paid 2 weeks before entering the boarding house a 50% advance, on the day of the arrival of the group of people to pay the rest of the money as agreed in the contract, the staff of the pension did not accommodate the people, actually let them wait outside the rooms. It was only after I sent proof of their payment by mail. I have not met anything like this in any other place - that people are not allowed to stay. If we had not been constrained by that contract and if we had another option of space and accommodation for our event, at that time, in Cluj-Napoca, we would have dropped from the start to the services of the Pension Cionca. The staff was extremely unfriendly, rigid, the food was of poor quality, it was cold, too high prices for what we were offered, and in the rooms there was always something to repair (bad shower, TV that did not go etc.) any situation that appeared, we could not understand at all with the staff. Not even a plate I received when I asked. The patron has spoken to us both neatly and to the people. This is unacceptable, especially when it comes to tourism and hospitality. I have not received any respect, neither hospitality, nor fairness. We do not recommend this boardinghouse either for dining, accommodation or events. He left there with a very bitter taste. PS The Lord who served our food at the tables was sure the person who did his job right.
