George - Coming along the Orlatului Road, you come across a small and charming mountain settlement, Sibiel, where even from the moment you dismount on the main street, you can feel a hint of pastoral poetry and you feel the warm soul of the locals. We walked with confidence and looked for the guesthouse where we were going to spend a few unforgettable days. The first settlement in the locality, with a courtyard on the left side of the main road, enclosed in a wall specific to Transylvanian people, hides from prying eyes the "Casa Elena" Pension. First impression? We are impressed by the cleanliness outside the yard. We make our presence felt, using the intercom that stands vigilantly embedded in the gate post. The metal gate begins to slide slowly, from left to right, quietly, without the slightest squeak. Good sign. Homely people who care about the tranquility of the tourists whom they don't want to disturb with a faulty gate. We are entering. We jump out of the car, shake off our numb legs and...until we see our hosts and friends who arrived earlier, we stare at the beauty of the inner courtyard. Greenery and flowers, vivid or pastel colors in a natural picture implemented. The hedge, a restful green, impeccably trimmed. The flowers "thrown" in a "disorder" of the English garden delighted you with the autumn color of the smiling petals. The small aligned tiles join together with a lawn that bathes you in chlorophyll and freshly mowed sap. We recover quickly and catch a glimpse of the hosts who were looking at us in surprise... We... - Good day and we've found you! - Hello! Welcome to us, we hope you feel at home. We are your hosts and we hope to provide you with a dream stay. I am Elena, and the gentleman who seems more withdrawn, Sorin, is the husband. Don't be fooled. It's just a mask. - Pleased to meet you. I am... and she is my other half... We already feel at home. We could already feel the familiar warmth that our hosts, without any special effort, poured over us. Mrs. Elena, small in stature, plump and neatly dressed, exuded confidence, she never let her guard down and seemed to multiply into as many Mrs. Elena as were needed in the kitchen, in the salon where meals were served or in the guest rooms to correct a small flaw. The husband, Mr. Sorin, a special character. Present everywhere and in all things, determined and with a never-to-be-missed word, he liked to mingle among tourists and with a disarming good will to intervene to resolve small misunderstandings, to "haunt" around the kitchen and help prepare the tasty dishes that they were served to us in the few days. The perfect host, he made sure that everything was perfectly organized in the courtyard of the guesthouse and at the same time he made sure that we didn't lack anything that could ensure our comfort. All this with a smile on his face, solving everything that could be done now, not later or tomorrow. He moved from the kitchen to the yard or from the yard to the living room to serve the meal, leaving behind him the wisdom of the words thrown with a smile on his face: "That's how it is if you got married. You listen and do what the wife says", words that showed the level of understanding reached by this blessed family. Impeccable accommodation. The guest rooms, like the whole pension, equipped with everything you need to have a special stay, clean, exemplary sanitized. The dining room, arranged and organized with military rigor. The kitchen prepares dishes of the best quality, which are served with the art and delicacy of great restaurants. I'm a curmudgeonly guy, but still... Everything was perfect. No reproaches, no complaints, no shortages. PERFECT! MAN SANCTIFIES THE PLACE! Time passed far too quickly. When we said goodbye, I noticed that Mrs. Elena, Mrs. Carmen, your friend, Mr. Sorin, they were no longer just our hosts, but OUR FRIENDS. The "Casa Elena" guesthouse became Mother's House .........................
